Prince & Princess Crowns
Updated: Jun 26, 2021
Do you want to be a prince or princess? Here’s your chance! Let’s make a prince or princess crown! This activity is great for toddlers and preschool children working on fine motor skills and promoting creativity.

Supplies you’ll need:
- Paper
- Decoration tools (e.g. glitter, stickers, markers)
- Pipe cleaners
- Scissors
- Tape or glue
- Pen/pencil
Directions
First gather your materials! You’ll want to make sure you’re sitting at a table or somewhere flat to draw designs on your crown.
Next get 1 piece of paper and lay it flat on the table
Fold your piece of paper in half, cut on the line to make 2 pieces of paper, and place 1 in front of you and the other to the side

Use your pencil to draw a straight line at the bottom of the paper
Use your pencil to draw a line from the previous spot, at an angle towards the top on both sides
Then connect both sides by making little hills, triangles, lower case “m”s, or mountains
Then cut out the crown

Now you can decorate your crown! You can use markers, stickers, glitter, or paint. You can make shapes, flowers, patterns, scatter your colors and ideas, or write your name!

After you decorate your crown, take 1 or 2 pipe cleaners. You can make a circle with 1 pipe cleaner to measure your head! If it fits your head, use 1. If it’s too small, use 2 and attach them by twisting the tips together

Next, flip your crown over, so the decorated side is on the table. Take your pipe cleaner and place it at the bottom of the crown. Tape it down at both ends and in the middle

Last, make sure it fits your head and wrap the ends of the pipe cleaner together, making a circle.
Enjoy your crown!
