Make Your Own Superhero!
Updated: Jun 25, 2021
Making a superhero with notebook paper is a great activity for older preschool age children, and school age children to be creative and use their imagination! Older preschoolers are starting to work on fine motor skills like holding the markers or crayons. Parental help will be needed when using the scissors and glue. School age children are able to complete this activity independently! They can also write all about their superhero characteristics! Each superhero will be out of this world, individualized and unique for each child!

What you need:
Notebook paper
Colored paper (Different colors)
Scissors
Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
Black marker
Glue (Glue stick/Regular Glue)
Instructions:
First gather all your supplies
Next take your scissors and cut out a circle from notebook paper (You could trace a circle onto the paper before you begin to cut)

Then take your scissors and cut out two squares from notebook paper (You could also cut out a rectangle from the notebook paper, fold it in half, and then take your scissors and cut on the folded line)
Take your scissors and cut out a triangle from notebook paper

Next pick out your piece of colored paper
Place the circle near the top of the paper, toward the right side of the paper
Then place a square underneath the circle, leaving a gap
Next place the other square underneath the square, leaving a gap
Place the top of the triangle underneath the top square
Color the triangle which becomes the cape

Then glue each shape down to the colored piece of paper
Next cut out a rectangle from notebook paper that is wider than the circle, then color the rectangle, then glue the rectangle onto the circle to make the face mask
Then draw on some eyes, nose, mouth, arms, hands, and hair
Write the alphabet letter your name starts with on the top square
Lastly on a separate piece of paper write the superhero name, superpower, weaknesses, and sidekick then glue on the back of the colored paper with your superhero
