Apple Nachos

Updated: Jun 25, 2021

Apple Nachos are a fun way to dress up your snack! For this recipe, we will be adding peanut butter and chocolate! The possibilities for toppings are endless and can be totally customizable! This cool activity allows children to be creative and choose what toppings they want on their “nachos”! The apple nachos can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.

Supplies:

  • 1 Fuji Apple (you can use any apple such as Granny Smith too!)

  • ¼ Cup Smooth Peanut Butter

  • ¼ Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • 1 Small Handful of Mini White Chocolate Chips

  • 2 Small Ziploc Bags

*Other topping options are: almond butter drizzle, caramel drizzle, Nutella drizzle, white chocolate drizzle, M&Ms, nuts, granola,

coconut flakes, and toffee bits.

Let’s Get Started!

First, wash and cut the apple into thin slices (Ask an adult to cut the apple).

Then, arrange the apple slices on a plate.

Next, in a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips for 20 second intervals until melted (Stirring each time).

Then in a separate bowl, microwave the peanut butter for 20 seconds until melted.

Next, put a ziploc bag in a cup and then pour the peanut butter sauce in it.

Then, do the same with the chocolate sauce and pour into the ziploc bag.

Next, cut off a small corner from the bottom of each bag.

Then, drizzle the peanut butter sauce and chocolate sauce over the apples (You can go in a circular motion or zig-zag motion).

Lastly, top with mini chocolate chips (Or toppings of your choice!)

Your beautiful nachos are done! Enjoy!
